There are distinct developmental stages that an individual -- or an organization -- goes through as we work to improve, grow, or develop ourselves. The typical first move is to look for tools and tips from those who have gone before. In short order however -- if mentors are transparent and frank -- you are guided to a particular "mindset" that is needed to assure that the tools and techniques are utilized to their full potential.
It's similar with personal and organizational creative thinking and innnovation. We may start with using a few innovative thinking tools, such as: POINt, forced connections, evaluation matrix, etc. and while these tools are great, there is more to it when we decide to take a deeper dive. We invite you to do so. Jump in. The water's fine!
We'll help you get started with our white paper, Diving Deeper Into Innovation. You will learn about:
- Process and Methodology for Change - structures for using your favorite tools.
- Dawning of Innovation Attitudes and Behaviors - while creative tools are useful, they are only tools. You need to consider attitude adjustments for creative success.
- Looking Back and Moving Forward - how can you evaluate your past experiences in order to move forward.
For those of you experiencing a heat wave, we hope the image above helps to refresh you and inspires you to read Diving Deeper Into Innovation and explore what's under the "innovation" surface.
You may think that's a typo above on innnovation. Could be, or... it might be a cunning shout out to our clients and friends in the hospitality industry. Either way, innnovation flourishes in a culture where it's OK to have a little fun with relatively harmless misteaks. We like ours medium rare.
