Just because your work is important doesn’t mean that you have to take yourself seriously. Lighten up. You’ll soon observe what research has indicated--that a backdrop of playfulness at work yields greater levels of innovation. That's the premise behind our recent cookie caper.
We were saving these cookies for a big party and asked our security team to watch over them until everyone got there.
These two are very good at maintaining security at our corporate offices, and we would trust them with our lives. We often do.
However...
This is what we found when returning from a training session with a client.
We were not happy. And like two children, all they could think to say was “What cookie? Oh, that one. That’s the way you gave it to us, isn’t it?”
And then they went on to blame the cookie for being so... attractive, and covered their likely lie with “You know, we really don’t have any long-term memory, and you’ve been gone for how long?”
Well, mother always told us to share. And to del-eat cookies.
This is fantastic!! Thank you for sharing.
