Chris Grivas (pictured on left) and Gerard Puccio (on right), our associates in the Pacific Northwest and Buffalo, respectively, recently had some of their research published in the Creativity and Innovation Management Journal. Their research focused on "Examining the Relationships between Personality Traits and Creativity Styles." In their study, they compared results from the DiSC and FourSight assessments. (You can also read about FourSight at the N&I Newsletter archives)
The strongest conclusion was that, "Based on the relationships between the [FourSight] Clarifier preference and the DiSC it would seem that problem clarification is associated with tendencies to be cautious, careful, analytical, accurate and tactful. In contrast, those who express strong preference for the idea generation stage of the creative process are likely to show such traits as willingness to challenge prevailing thought, need for change and attraction to variety."
Other less-strong relationships are detailed in the full journal article, which can be purchased on the page with the full article abstract.
Meanwhile, congratulations Gerard and Chris!
